The Little Old Lady and her Fairy Godmother
A little old lady is sitting on the porch in her favorite rocking
chair
with her faithful cat snoozing besider her. Suddenly a small,
glitzy
woman appears on the porch with a POOOF!
"Who are you?" cries the old lady.
"I'm your fairy godmother. I'm here to grant you three
wishes."
"Get outta here."
"No, really. Come on, I don't have all day."
The little old lady thinks and thinks and says, "OK,
what've I got to
lose?
Turn this rocking chair into solid gold." POOF! The chair
is gold and
the lady is richer than she ever imagined.
"I believe you!" she cries. "Let me
think." She walks through
the house and stops at a mirror. "I know, turn me into a
beautiful
young woman."
POOF! She's a gorgeous young thing. She can't believe it.
For the third wish, she walks around the house and back to the
porch, where she sees her cat. "I have it! Turn my cat into
a handsome
young man and we'll live happily every after." POOF! The
godmother
disappears, and the cat is now a great-looking guy. He walks
slowly
across the porch, takes the young woman in his arms, looks deeply
into
her eyes and says, "Now, aren't you sorry you had me
fixed?"
